The experience we create is intimate and whimsical, using only fresh, organic ingredients. We collaborate with the client to customize their special event and arrange for local chefs to plan, shop, prepare, and serve the couple in the privacy of their home. Our offering is seasonal, often incorporates molecular cuisine elements, and is inspired by three-star restaurants from around the world. (Please note, we currently only serve the Los Angeles and Orange County areas).
We strive to make the fewest changes possible when accommodating dietary restrictions so that our guests may enjoy the menu as our private chefs have envisioned them. The courses are meant to work together and are seasonal. That said, we want each experience to be wonderful, so please express any concerns once the offering has been reviewed.

Since its inception, Chef My Date™ has been all about love, with so many serendipitous moments throughout its evolution, that it was as if the Universe was conspiring to make it happen. Chef My Date™ is the brainchild of Aci Landa, a top LA food stylist and founder of FoodThatLooksGood™. The Chef My Date™ experience is incredibly whimsical and the courses are paired with activities designed to create a memorable, intimate date experience as couples are encouraged to play with their food.
Before launching Chef My Date™, Landa and her mother, Luci Ortega, had a company called Solo Para Dos (Only for Two). When Ortega, herself an accomplished chef and food stylist, passed away in 2019, Landa was unsure what to do next. Then the pandemic hit. Photoshoots were canceled, restaurants were closed, and chefs were losing their jobs. To help honor her mother’s memory and keep chefs employed, Landa transformed Solo Para Dos into Chef My Date™, A Table for Two. It provided a safe, unique, and intimate way for couples to celebrate special events when they had to stay home.
For help developing a sumptuous tasting experience, Landa turned to fellow chef and friend, Molly Ortwein, whom she had met serendipitously a few years earlier through Ortega. They would become partners and social entrepreneurs in getting chefs back to work, not necessarily hiring chefs to prepare meals, but preparing meals to hire chefs.
